A split electorate that arose from anger felt by people towards Bush 41
Pitiful, isn't it? Read my lips, no new taxes. The media whipped people into a frenzy because Bush reneged on taxes. He caved to the DEMwits. People called him a liar. Because he caved, a lot of people voted for Perot and threw the race to Clinton. Clinton was incapable of telling the truth and won reelection.
Personally, I think the downhill spiral began when Bush threw up on the Japanese guy. The news played it over and over and over. People just don't want to see the President--or anyone-- ill. After having fantastic poll numbers, Bush suddenly looked weak. The media and the DEMS pounced. Bush seemed tired. Clinton was energetic. Add Perot to the mix. The result was the frat house presidency.
