Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
It's about perception not reality.....
No one would agree with the statement "It's OK to lie if you do so with passion".....
But very few people check the veracity of his statements.....What sticks in their mind is that Clinton was tough and he tried to kill Osama
The old adage of state a lie enough times it becomes believable....watch over the next several days how the left follows Clinton's lead....How many times did he repeat he tried to kill Osama? That was manipulation at it's finest and totally contrived.....
Clinton knows he will never convince 30% of the population that is conservative but the real fight over the middle percentage between right and left constituents. That middle percentage is not engaged daily on current events other than "sound bites" which is why "spin" (otherwise known as propaganda/lies) is soooooo darn effective....
They don't have to check the veracity because it will be told to them via the "new media". The difference between now and 5 or 10 years ago is that today all sides of an argument are aired.
Thanks for the ping!
I am trying to find out how this interview was set up. Did Clinton's people call up FOX to offer the interview, or did FOX call Clinton seeking the interview? If anyone has an answer for this that can be cited, please let me know.
I heard Chris state that they had been trying for a long time to get a Clinton interview. The condition was that half the interview was to be toward Clinton's charitable works --- but the meltdown tookcare of any time that was to be used for the chariable stuff.
Thanks for the ping.
Wallace tried to get back to the "charitable" stuff - but by then Clinton was off and running. Clinton's a blowhard...
