The sermon today was about prayer and how much more effective and honorable to God is when our prayers are "we" not "me"...The sermon at St. John's?

I sort of wish the NYPD
had cut the Venezulean oil pimp's mike, LOL! What a maroon.....!
Evenin' everybody, I'm so glad to be able to check in on the Dose tonight. I don't have a lot of time to post here these days (hopefully that is going to change a little, soon) but I always enjoy the pictures.

[The Yahoo captions that accompany these church departure photos always say he's waving to reporters, but I just can't figure out which reporter would make him smile like that. So I think he's waving to supporters.]I am sure you are right, Wolfstar! That is a great photo and a wonderful smile. I hope they got rested up a bit this weekend.
Thank you for posting the Dose!

Thanks for the Ryder Cup photos. Normally the RC is one of my all time favorite sports events to watch, but this year, I just didn't get into it.
I thought I'd watch when I got home from church this morn, but it was all over by then.
It's good to see the team supported by Pres GHWB.

Thanks for the Weekend Dose, Wolfstar.
Something to add to The Week Ahead:
On Saturday, First Lady Laura hosts the 2006 National Book Festival on the National Mall.

Thank you.
Since I didn't get a toaster last night, may I have a 4 slicer tonight? LOL I'd like one with lovely Laura and President Bush.
Thanks.

Wolfstar, I'm glad you're posting today because you will understand my grief right now.
My husband just found our dear, dear cat, Cinnamon........18 years old.........underneath his favorite ferns, dead.
We had not seen him all day, so he looked in all the 'usual places' and found him there.
I cannot believe the pain I feel right now. We just talked to all four kids before we knew, and now will have to tell them all, and their hearts will break. He was an outdoor cat and outlived his life expectancy by 6 years, but that doesn't help right now....
Thanks for letting me share this with those who will understand my deep sorrow. We have lost a dear, sweet friend.

I'm sorry OhioW. We get so attached to our pets, they are truly gifts to us.
Eighteen years is awesome for a cat. Must've been a wise creature...;^)

I know how you feel. I lost my dear cat Alexandra (nicknamed "Chunky" because she was so fat) a year and a half ago. She had to be put to sleep due to diabetes and liver failure. She was only 13, and losing her hurt so bad. I've not had a cat since then, but thankfully, I'll be adopting two kittens this Wednesday. Give it some time, and adopt a new kitty or two. They won't replace your Cinnamon, but they will make your world a little brighter.
To: prairiebreeze
Even last night he walked up the driveway to greet us after our walk, and ate our steak 'leftovers.'
He must have just fallen asleep.
