Your 1 in 84 statistic is erroneous. Further, only a da** fool would try to deflect in any way the stupidity or illegality of driving while intoxicated (as it is called in Texas) or driving under the influence (in many places elsewhere).

I might agree if one had to be drunk to get a DWI. But today a glass of wine before and after dinner is legally drunk. 2 or 3 beers with the boys on the way home from work and you're legally drunk.

DWI laws now are just another money maker for big government.
