Three strikes yer out. Clinton lost his temper and some of his fans on the Democrat side too. They don't like loud-mouthed old guys with twisty arthritic fingers, ranting about conspiracy. They heard an impotent, whining old fool lose his temper.

They also don't like Hillary and she is not going to be the nominee.

And of course they were spinning it. What else do you expect? An apology for the embarrassment that is Bill Clinton?

The other part of the interview that I felt completely defines Clinton was the "when I said it, I said it in a tone that was 'whimsical' and 'humorous.'

Come on - whimsical????? The problem with Clinton is that every time he was in front of an audience or the camera he was playing a role; sometimes serious, sometimes 'whimsical' etc. This is the man who would see a camera in church and turn on the tears. His legacy should be "I am not an actor, but I played on in the Whitehouse." He didn't take the job seriously - he played the role, skated through taking advantage of the perks and ignoring the responsiblities and then acts put out when someone has the audacity to question why he didn't deal with the duties of the office appropriately.

Sorry, not buying it.

Facts prove otherwise.

And, besides, even if this was a set-up, SO WHAT?

This purple rage did much more to jazz up the REPUBLICAN/CONSERVATIVE base than anything it did for the moonbats.

And any student of Rovian politics knows you win elections when YOUR base is jazzed, never mind the other guy's base.

So, maybe it would be better to view this as Karl Rove's finest work to date (/s), rather than some kind of brilliant move by the Sinkmeister.

If that was a calculated act, then he deserves an Oscar.

If you go to Washington DC they sell a little tourist book with a one page highlight bio of each president.

For Clinton it ends with his 60% approval rating when he left office.

For GWBush it ends with personal belief of power given by God.

(think a democrat wrote that book?)

"Why Clinton "Lost His Temper"

The truth hurts regarding his White House allowing al-Qaida to expand at will.

Not only that. Nobody else HAS to ask him those questions again. It's sort of like the Howard Deam yelp. We can play that interview again, and again, and again all the days of Bill's life. There are some pretty ugly sound bites and video in there too.

Who cares if Katie Couric asks? He gave us the answer when he snarked about Wallace "thinking he was so smart" and started tapping Wallace's notebook on his lap....all on tape for the world to see as many times as we want to see it again.

If that was Bill's brilliant strategy, he should have rehearsed his tantrum a little better to not give us so much material to work with because he looked like a 16 year old bullying a smaller kid over his lunch money. Not an elder stateman trying to set the record straight.

"He is always wagging that finger!"

And we all know where that finger has been don't we?

He went on there b/c he was recently snuggled up with Mudoch on that global whatever initiative. He thought that coziness with the boss would count for something (i.e., that Wallace would be intimidated into not asking hard questions).

He also thought that an interview on Fox about his global whatever initiative would elevate him as a stateman, help the Missus, and pave the way for HIS return to the WH.

Seemed much more like a sophomoric hissyfit than a calculated, strategic, intellectual ploy to me.

I agree totally.....

Kristol was kind enough to throw Wallace a bone in this piece....looking at the guy thing, Clinton dominated, Wallace submitted. Clinton knew it would work out as it did.

Clinton wants to make it incorrect, or at least impolite, to criticize his record on terror. Chris Wallace stood up to him. Will others?

I don't think he would have even as much luck as he did if Brit Hume was the interviewer, do you? Or let's say Robert Novak?

I don't think we are so easily cowed by this monster, despite the 24/7 rehabilitation effort that has been ongoing for the past 6 years with Bush collaboration.

No more Mr. Nice Guys!

The only thing is, he CAN't bring up anything about his "sex life." He wants everything about that to totally go away. So he can't blame the "right-wingers" for distracting him---b/c, how? with Monicagate? he can't say that---so he blames the "right-wingers" for distorting his record on trying to get OBL.

OBL is in a cave somewhere laughing his beard off right now.

Imagine what happened when he got home and the Missus got hold of him.

Oh, wait. They don't live together. But I'm sure she'll track him down and let her get reaquainted with her "frying pan arm."
