Newt did not break the Contract with America. The Contract said that the GOP would bring 10 ideas to the vote and they did. Period. Definable goals.

You're right, because as soon as he has outlived his usefulness, they'll drop him like a hot potato.

Any guy who can't put away Jim Webb by more than five points won't be the next nominee. Period.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I must have missed the vote on abolishing the Department of Education. When did that happen?

Now, recall that after this incident, Mr. Sidarth claimed that he had to be in the hospital for some pre-planned surgery. You see, Allen wanted to apologize to him directly, but the man could not be found.

My guess is that the purpose of this was to give him a haircut and to be able to claim that Allen didn't "apologize" for a week.

Here is what Mr. Sidarth looked like before getting a decent haircut:

Thanks to Flora McDonald for posting this on another thread.

Are you really asking me to do research for you? You didn't even know that the CwA was about bringing votes to the floor.

See #53. It's the name of a series. It's a rhetorical device...

You are very clever. Funny stuff.

Yes, totally. Young man had a promising future, then he fell in with a crowd of ruffians, and next thing you know he's hauling slop to the hogs.

I'm not his daddy and he can't come back!

Naw, just a bit of experience with a selection of nut-cases like you wouldn't believe. Actually spent a number of years working for USPS "Consumer Advocate", and boy do they call ~ we even detected a "rising full moon" effect ~ they are all out there.

You must never forget the type, and Donald fits the envelope.

You're made a claim (or am I mistaken?) that Newt kept his promise e.g. that he putthe CWA to a "vote." Thus, the burden of proof is on you to provide the evidence.

Then again, you could continue to make claims that have no basis in the evidence and then try to shift the burden of proof to anyone who questions your factual claims (which I suspect you will do).

I'm just saying that this is why they call it a modified Mohawk. He's since gotten a haircut to make it look like the Allen campaign was crazy.

I do not believe, like another poster on this thread, that the haircut is making a political statement of any kind. I just think it looks incredibly stupid.

That's the same haircut the South Indian fellow who shot all those folks in Montreal had.

There's something behind it ~ I suspect it's an association with a terrorist group based in India.

Or, he just made one heck of a mistake in selecting barbers.

No, the burden is on you to prove that the CwA was "violated". You brought it up, chief.

It's a college kid haircut, so by definition it is "incredibly stupid". If the picture I posted is more recent, he's discovered, like a lot of college kids, that when you get out of college it's time to grow up and grow it out.

I agree with you that I don't see a political statement. Since the kid was born in Fairfax County, he's more "Virginian" than Allen is! :)

Here is a pic of the (alleged) Montreal shooter:

He is, according to reports, of Indian origin but he's also just plain nuts. He was fascinated with Columbine and had a death wish.

I can't get an image of Kimveer Gill from the side.

I see LOTS of college-kid haircuts. Nobody asks for the Mr. T meets Forrest Gump. Nobody. I've seen weird dye jobs, piercings of every variety, etc. Nobody wears the lazy man's mohawk.

I think Haley would be good also...but the liberal media would have a field day with him.
