Al Sharpton was a candidate for the nomination despite his race baiting, which resulted in seveal deaths and a damaged reputations. Barney Frank has a male prostitution ring run out of his apartment. Ted Kennedy's negligence causes the death of one of his staffers and gets off scot free. I could go on and on.
We have endured this double standard long enough. A relatively harmless remark by Allen now, according to many Reps, rules out his chances for the Presidency. The Dems pile on about his alleged use of the N word as a college student, which Allen strenuously denies. His Jewish grandfather, unlike Albright's and Wesley Clark' s Jewish roots, becomes a cause celebre. We are our own worst enemy.
