Top House Democrat Charles Rangel complained on Monday that the Bush administration's decision to concoct a "fraudulent" war in Iraq was as bad as "the Holocaust."
"It's the biggest fraud ever committed on the people of this country," Rangel told WWRL Radio's Steve Malzberg and Karen Hunter. "This is just as bad as six million Jews being killed. The whole world knew it and they were quiet about it, because it wasn't their ox that was being gored."
The Harlem Democrat charged that top Bush officials "made up [their] mind to go into Iraq long before 9/11. And every one of the players who made this decision - they were part of this plan to do it. From Rumsfeld to Cheney, Wolfowitz, Bolton, every one of them - Perle - [they were part of the] plan to put our kids in harm's way long before 9/11."
Rangel insisted that American blacks and poor whites are dying in Iraq, while those who supported the war aren't paying any price.
Asked to clarify his Holocaust comparison, Rangel told Malzberg:
"I am saying that people's silence when they know terrible things are happening is the same thing as the Holocaust, where everyone would have me believe that no one knew those Jews were killed over there."
So let's see if I've got this straight: Rangel rips Chavez for calling Bush a "devil" (the Demagogues are only upset because they know they can be so easily associated with Chavez diatribes), while Rangel himself merely thinks Bush & co. are guilty of something as bad as the HOLOCAUST.
Mr. Rangel, time for you to take some xanax.

It appears that Rangel was angry at Chavez for stealing his thunder.
The biggest fraud ever committed on this country is still to come If Rangel gets to be chairman of Ways and Means.
Rangel, the Congressional Black Caucus and the rest of the DNC have been out of power so long -- they've become deranged.
They're deranged, delusional and defeated...

BTW, this is the same Rangel who opposed the Persian Gulf War in 1991 on the ground that minorities were overrepresented in the US Armed forces! (I'm serious, I heard him say that on radio back then.)
What a two-faced phoney. A lot of people were commending Rangle for his comments about Chavez's speech. I didn't buy it for one second, all he cares about is the election, if he felt Chavez's speech would have helped the Rats cause, he would have praised it to the gills.
I posted it because it presents a highly relevant fact to compare to one of this week's news stories: that Rangel has compared supporters of the Iraq war to people who allowed or enabled the Holocaust. Rangel is a vicious nut, but he is also a prominent leader in the Democratic Party. Now Rangel and other Demagogues are now criticizing Hugo Chavez because they (IMHO) are worried that more of the electorate will get wise to the fact that they are also vicious left-wing nuts. They bash Chavez right now, 6-7 weeks before the elections, but most of the time they are just like Chavez. That's why it's relevant to recall some of the things Rangel has said in the past.
Deserves repeating. It is the bottom line on Rangel. He always plays the race-card and there is no innuendo to low for him to utter with a smile on his face. A demogogue of the worst kind and a well repected Democrat.
