Former [UVA Football] Teammate: George Allen Stuffed Deer Head into Black Fmaily's Mailbox

US Senator George Allen is responding to more allegations of racist behavior.

The latest comes from a former college teammate.

Former teammate Doctor Ken Shelton says, "Allen said he came to Virginia because he wanted to play football in a place where 'blacks knew their place.'"

"He used the N-word on a regular basis back then," said Shelton, who was in Salon.com.

During a hunting outing with Allen and another teammate, Shelton says Allen drove the three to a black neighborhood and "he proceeded to take the doe's head and stuff it into a mailbox."

Bishop Gerald Glenn says he used to see Allen as a Confederate flag waving redneck and has talked to the senator about his perception problem in the African American community.

While the two still disagree on key issues, Glenn says assassinating Allen's character does nothing for the voters of Virginia.

Allen told reporters today that he and Doctor Shelton weren't close and haven't spoken to each other in more than 30 years. Other teammates have released statements saying they've never heard Allen use racial slurs.

Allen's approval rating is down in the latest poll released today by SurveyUSA. The poll was taken last week, so the numbers do not reflect possible reaction to the Salon.com article.

It's not that the charges "might be false", but that they ARE false ~ totally bogus ~ but you already know that.

Here's something for you to think about ~ remember that haircut your little buddy had when he was filming Allen up too close, another guy with the same haircut, and same ancestry, shot 20 people in Montreal the other day.

Just a few years back, terrorists pretending to be journalists got real close to our top guy in Afghanistan and blew him up just a few days before our retaliatory invasion.

You people made Allen feel a tad uncomfortable ~ and now you keep at it and not a one of you has proferred any evidence that you are not also involved up to your ears in an anti-Christian terrorist operation in India.

Get your own credentials fixed up first.

Great. I was home sick today and had some time, but I have to work tomorrow. I know other Allen supporters are on the case, but nobody does it better than FReepers!

Here is some info about Ken Shelton:

Allen critics identified. This site has a bunch of other stuff debunking the smears. The A-team blog does as well.

The problem for Allen is not the accusations, it's the way he handles them. He is simply not quick enough. Romney is very smooth. He can answer an accusation and make it sound like it was nothing and is believable. He became a Republican gov. of the most liberal state on the East coast and he wasn't even from there.

I think Evangelical Christians will not be too concerned about his being a Morman because they know that Mormans usually try to live moral lives. These days, if a politician has a sense of Christian morality, Christians will accept his method of worship. I have predicted that Romney will be the GOP nominee. He is the only man out there with the necessary talent to win. I may have to eat my hat, but that's my "feeling" and I'm sticking to it.

"How do we know we are not using words that are offensive in many languages every day? Movies have been made about double meanings to words. Meet the Fockers, for example. "

Very true. Peach (spelled pec, and the c has a tail on it) is bastard in Turkish. People get all excited in the farmer's markets there when American servicemen's wives use it...at least until they realize it's those dumb American broads.

Um, yeah, I think I do, and I think most Indians do not consider themselves white and they would not be considered white in Southwest Virginia. Joe Biden certainly didn't think of them as white when he made his comment about Delaware needing them to run all the 7-11 stores. Oh, but he is no racist, is he?

Indians consider themselves quite "white", particularly those who are Brahmin, or belong to a Jot that's ascended to importance, and who count among their ancestors Aryans from the West (Persia, Bulgaria, etc.)

This gentleman is quite arguably "white".

So tell me what is a "quick" or "smooth" way to say "I never called anyone a nigger?" I'll readily admit that Allen was clumsy in responding to the 'macaca' smear, but that was just about blown over when this n-word crap hit the Net yesterday. Democrats got desperate because the latest poll showed Allen still comfortably ahead, even after the three-week macaca-fest.

I called a Frenchman from Algeria a 'petit chameau', because I had extremely limited French, and he was helping me with my luggage to get to a train. He went apoplectic, and his wife who spoke no English, could only hope that I said it out of ignorance. Apparently to call an Algerian a camel was the worst of all insults. I sure did not know that at the time!

BTW, the question of "white" didn't come up concerning running 7/11s. That was simply a blast at immigrants from India.

I've known a couple who didn't work at a 7/11 for at least a short while. Used to be India would let you leave the country with no more than $50 in your pockets. This presented some pretty serious problems to anyone immigrating here, or for Indian students.

The solution was to work at a 7/11, or a Greek restaurant.

You could sleep "out back", get cash income at the end of the day, and eat really cheap.

A couple of weeks there and you could complete your travels to go where you were supposed to go.

It was a quite stimulating experience as I understand from people who did it, and they speak highly of the open employment policies of 7/11.

I think Ol'Joe just didn't know how tightly connected 7/11 was to the recent immigrant experience.

Someday there'll be an Indo-Pak American writer of the stature of Isaac Bashevis Singer, and she's going to write about how truly incredible 7/11 was in her life.

No, we don't think you're a Moslem. We have examined your material and it's filled with Democratic party campaign aid talking points.

Now you may have come up with that stuff coincidentally, or koinkidinkly, but we've seen it before.

I also am sooo tired of the race card inserted into every debate (especially illegal immigration), hence my tongue in cheek post. Acknowledge that it is not PC, and can be misconstrued....chance I'm willing to take.

Wrong. I'm an Evangelical Christian and I won't vote for Romney. If he's the Republican candidate I'll stay home. Millions of others will do the same.

I'm not going to attack the LDS church or defend not voting to the utilitarians on FR who will always vote for the lesser of two evils.

"we have examined your material"....."we have seen it before"---do you have any sense of irony, dude?
That kind of talk smacks of either communist thuggery
or the "Ve haff vays uff making you talk", WW2 Nazi stuff/
You oughta be ashamed enough to try to grow some self-knowledge real quick. I have NEVER voted Democrat. You come across as another self-appointed authoritarian (or more appropriately) a hall-monitor checking everyone's yellow pass in high school.

Romney is smooth, cool, polished, and controlled. He is the the archetypical Fortune 500 CEO.

Google "Romney" and "brainwashed" to learn a little about the history - why he is the way he is.

Good presidential candidate for '08? Verdict is still out.
