A Day in the Life of President Bush - (photos) - 9.27.06

Today President Bush traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to attend a campaign fundraiser for Senate Candidate Bob Corker. This evening he is hosting a dinner for Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai and Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf to focus attention on the need to work together to defeat terrorism, with an emphasis on the shared interests of both leaders. (A few prayers would be in order for wisdom for our President during this dinner, I think......)

It continues to be a good time to support this President, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!

Altura, trust me I know what I'm talking about....there are a lot of people out there that do not connect the dots. AND, there are a lot of hidden motives. My first thought was - she was hitting on your husband.

(my husband was a pastor, and I KNOW the type)

What does "I feel awful even about that" mean - sorry but do not understand this term.

(the only GOOD former President)

Hey! Could I edit that to be the only GOOD former President in the public eye? There were a lot of great now-dead former Presidents...and although he was a bit shiftless I still have a little fondness for Ford. ; )

Ok, enough arguing with the teacher. Thank you for the fun does tonight, Ohio!

If you click on "Post Reply" and say bump or ping, the post will appear on your Ping List (look in the upper right hand corner of the screen). If it's BOLD, click on it and see. You're probably seeing it right now!

You can even ping yourself. I do, and use it like a reminder of something I want to read later.

Bump or bttt means "bump to the top" of your pings list.

Good luck!

I'm back! Yeah, our church is VERY casual. I consider myself to be dressed appropriately when I wear long pants and a top, or a dress, but many people wear shorts (and some of them are FAT); blue jeans are rampant, etc.

I guess that's nice, but there is an African church near us that Bubba and I walk by on Sunday mornings and those people are dressed to the teeth...tiny little boys in suits; little girls in sweet dresses and mary janes; women in their best suits WITH hats... and it makes me kinda nostalgic for the days when we dressed that way for church.

Hubby came to the conclusion that this woman was a bit mentally disturbed.

OK, don't look UP, look DOWN, where it says PINGS, then click on it.

Here is the link to the WH video. You can see GWB from the front on this one, but the screen is small. I don't remember the angle of the video when he was talking about the mom--I don't think you can see GWB from the front on that part. (That was another really nice statement from Pr. K--overshadowed, though by his other amazing statement!)

Hi! I have been in and out the last little while. Am off right now to give kisses to my daughters. Youngest son is already asleep--and oldest son is having oral surgery in the morning so he is enjoying staying up late on a school night! Back in a bit, I think.

===
That happens too. For awhile, we lived next door to the church, and they all found my front door.

Do I sound uncharitible? After awhile, it was most difficult.

never trust a man with elite educational credentials! (smile).... but it's kinda true.

I wish they could catch this dude and hang him out to dry, he's nothing but a traitor (or whoever the leaker is)

I'm sure it was a trial. Glad you moved a little further away. Churches are sometimes magnets for the manipulative and the disturbed types.
