They have several great museums, most near the Buda castle. One is war history, one is a historic church. They have done a great job with each of their museums.
If you do a one or two day road trip south past Kaposvar, there is a historic battlefield from the middle ages.
There is so much to see in Budapest though that four dys won't cover it! So if you don't road trip it, I wouldn't blame you.
