There is a lot of isolation all around. Lefties can't stand to communicate with non-lefties. They don't need to try to make sense when they have an entire blogoshpere to reinforce their perception of reality.
External pressures like national emergies (depressions, terrorist attacks,conscription) are the only things that can interrupt their dream-state.
