Which means that most electric available to them is either Gas, HydroElectric or Nuclear.

And we already know where they stand on the Nuclear option..

Sound's like California is going to have a lot of 'brown outs' and 'Blackouts' in the not to distant future.

California's also full of NIMBYs who don't want more wind turbines either.

Indeed, there's going to be massive outages and/or the prices are going to soar through the roof - until they then cap prices. Ridiculous.

When the demand for non greenhouse generators go up and there is a limited supply, not only is CA going to suffer brownouts and blackouts, the consumer energy bill will also go up. CA politicians will blame the utility companies for their own failed policies. CA is going to go thru economic/energy hell before it will wake up.

Brown outs? No. Power is fungible.

But they just moved the price of green power...

If I install a solar array in VA, and sell the output to CA, do you think the electrons actually go 3000 miles to supply them? Oh, heck, no.

But I can make a fortune pandering to their idiocy...

And somebody is, I assure you.

Remember, they want to take out the dams, as well.

Which leaves them with natural gas. And they don't want an LNG port, either.

Won't be long before heating will be a matter of burning the furniture. And cooling achieved by draping a wet sheet over an open window...

California is doing it to themselves...
