BEVERLY HILLS
Nurse, teachers and firefighters protested Saturday outside a fundraiser for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at the home of a media mogul Haim Saban.
About 100 demonstrators, including members of the California Nurses Association, chanted slogans and waved signs outside the estate of Saban, founder of Saban Capital Group, said CNA spokesman Shum Preston.
Preston said the public workers want to make it clear they disagree Schwarzenegger's stances on nurse-patient ratio rules, universal health care and state pensions.
Saturday's protest will be the first of many over the next month, Preston said.
An e-mail seeking comment from a Schwarzenegger representative was not immediately returned late Saturday night.
A major dem donor for years, occasionally throws a few dollars to select Republicans... McCain for one
NewsMeat .. Who's he donating to this year?
Hillpac?
Conyers, lol.
Hillary, John Kerry, Wellstone, .... the list of lefties doesn't quit.
I can't find a Republican on any of those lists.
Didn't Saban go on one of Arnie's trade missions?
He has given individual token amounts to Tom McC, McCain and Bush is all I could find, he has been a major DSCC donor for years.
The perfect place for a Republican Gub to make inroads , eh? ;-)
I just can't figure out why this thread isn't getting spammed like some do here by ,, uh,, you know who.
Had you posted a thread on Warren Buffet's two fundraisers for Arnold the other day, you probably would have gotten the same response.... crickets.
"He has given individual token amounts to Tom McC"
==
Did McC refuse the donations?
If he didn't, then why are you bashing Arnold for taking it?
$500, 1991 or 1992, over the years , maybe 13K total to pubs versus over 13 million to dems.. Hey go for it! He's loaded. Just win Baby! Woo Hooo!!!
Pretty weak attempt , btw.. but a BumP is a BumP. ;-)
He's given major chunks of change to the DSCC every election cycle for years.
Have I said aRnie took any money from him? Did you see the check? We could have an FR exclusive here, FO. :-o
