"PS: I still wish someone would introduce the Sandy Berger question into Clinton's revisionism. It's long past time to demand more answers on that slimy affair." EXACTLY! It is as if every news commentator in the world has completely forgotten about him. I couldn't believe he, of all people, was complaining about the Path to 9/11. For the record, I'm not one to scapegoat Clinton for missed opportunities, because hindsight is 20/20. But Berger's actions surely illustrate consciousness of guilt. If they are so proud of their record, why did Berger need to steal and destroy documents?

StopDarfur has gutted any credibility they may have had with this commercial.

#####

The last line of the commercial - the soft-voiced woman saying "President Bush, please stop the genocide in Darfur" reminds me so much of the girl's voice in the NAACP chain-dragging to death ad of 2000.

If people's minds only register that one sentence from the ad, they will have the subtle impression that President Bush is commiting genocide in Darfur.

It is a horrible ad, purposefully made to damage President Bush.

.......only 80% anti Republican.......

I know what you mean. [*LOL*] Sometimes it DOES seem like they've been taken over by the Pod-People. I long for the days, 10-15 years ago, when Brian Lamb was more active (not just in the front office running the place). It seems the recent crop of Moderators (who I think do the scheduling of guests for their own programs) try, but fall short of, Lamb's original vision of what the programming and tenor of the moderation should be like.

The Pubbie pollster (Luntz) this past Sunday, absolutely ran over his Demo counterpart.

I'm sorry I missed the show with Luntz.
The last show I saw & loved on C-Span was 3 hours with Tammy Bruce.

What a dope! How could he think he'd get away with it.

He's a reporter.  Of course he assumes he'll get away with it.  After all, who are you going to believe, him or all of those... those... Republicans!   Oh, he feels dirty now for even having said the word.....

I remember that old expression as "don't go away mad, little buddy, just go away."  I learned it from one of the true greats of television comedy

Sadly, the gay community is notorious for their uncontrollable urges that defy logic. They engage in risky behaviour knowing that they could be jeopardising their lives. No amount of logic seems to penetrate their psyche.

The thing that really bothers me is the new trend that is growing, primarily in the SF and NY gay communities, of gay men searching out HIV infected sex partners so that they can get infected.  They see having HIV as a badge of honor in their community so they are trying to get AIDS.

The professionals in the medical AIDS community are beginning to despair that there is any hope.  Frankly AIDS should be an easy disease to beat, now that we know the infection mechanisms and the risk factors.  They find that they're losing because the folks they're trying to save appear to want to die.  Unfortunately they seem to also want to take others with them.

The troubling thing is that there are now gay enclaves in just about every city. Teaching, mentoring, and generally trying to bring more people into their lifestyle.

Frightening to say the least.

110 shots, 68 hits.

That's less than 62%! I think those deputies need some time at the range!

'If Foley was a target, he certainly cooperated.' ... Did he? Are we sure? ... No..we are not. ABC has not released any proof that the nasty, sexual IM's are from who they say they are! Why are we believing the MSM all of a sudden? That's what I want to know. ...

I've been screaming this for weeks about lots of issues, including this one.  Why are we willing to take what the drive by media says as gospel, ever?  They press a hot button and get the knee jerk response from some of us that they are counting on.  And the beauty of this particular "narrative" is that they can start with the truth, then they just have to embellish just a little bit to get our pavlovian response that they can exploit.

There's a line in Tom Clancy's Executive Orders

"Why should I trust you? ... You're reporters."

I want to shove that in the face of every member of the DBM.

LOL...good Clancy line!! This is fixing to blow up in the dems face. My guess is that Foley is guilty of something and that's why he resigned. However, we are getting to the bottom of who REALLY HAD all of this stuff and sat on it and IT IS NOT GOING TO BE THE GOP!! Lots going on behind the scenes....(wink)...have faith!!

Is Murtha up for re-election this year?

Every member of the House is up for reelection every two years.  Murtha is a member of the House, therefore he is up for reelection this year.  As is Pelosi and Hastert, Boehner and Rangel, etc., etc.

Thanks for the update, but someone else already informed me yesterday about Murtha. I have not really been keeping up with all of the Murtha stories. My bad.
