Actually, if one is of Latin descent (including from the Iberian Peninsula in Europe) one MAY become a dual citizen in Mexico. If not, one must renounce one's foreign citizenship in hopes of getting to become a Mexican citizen. The flagrant racism is documented at:

Can you imagine the hypocritical outcry from La Raza if U.S. immigration laws only allowed anglos to become dual citizens? It wouldn't be consistent with their doctrine of reconquista (reconquering the SouthWest).
