Keeping the Senate in GOP control is more important that keeping the House.

If Dems take the House, impeachment is right around the corner.

I think that will tick off the public, but the lib base will demand it.

I think "ticking off the public" is an understatement. If impeachment is the only thing they try to accomplish, we'd definitely get the majority back next time.

Just because there's a lot of anger and frustration over the war, doesn't mean that the majority of people want a radical shakeup in the top levels of government. Most reasonable people will say there's going to be an election in 2008 anyway. Why do we have to do this now? That's why I think impeachment would be a bad move on the Dems part.
