My grandmother was the same way, but she also added playing cards to that list.
Playing cards -- definitely a no-no, too. Not even Old Maid. No slacks on women. No earrings. No makeup. Life was fun... NOT! Couldn't say "gee" or "gosh" or "darn" -- all minced oaths.
