Here's the story from Brit Hume tonight.
The Louisiana Congressman that had been contacted by the 16 year-old Page's parents, had switched parties from dim to Republican. Some of his staff stayed on with him and some left due to politics. These disgruntled dim ex-staff members of the Congressman's kept in touch with the friends still working for the Congressman. These people attained copies of the emails from people still on staff in the Congressman's office. They are the one's that gave the emails to some in the media.
I did not hear the IM's mentioned in this exchange.

Interesting. I'd be shocked if they didn't also give the e-mails to their Democrat friends still working in Washington.

yep - there's to much interchange between the term "email" and "IM". It seems there is not so much dispute about the emails....but there are some good question raised about how these IM got into the story...
