I'm pinging you all to the pics in posts #59 and #62 above, and thank you Founding Father for posting them along with the nice blog excerpts.

I want to post one short quote from the blog excerpt in post #58 above:

". . . People were happy, excited, friendly. . . ."

The key words there are "happy" and "friendly." One of the things I remember very clearly about watching leftist demonstrations in Latin America; and I have seen them up close in Mexico City, and the cities of Bogota and Manizales in Colombia, is that the left organizes the alienated, who show up angry and frustrated. They do not smile. Of everything I've read about the demonstrations so far, this little quote says more to me about the real enthusiasm and honest support Rosales is getting, as opposed to people who are pressured, threatened, or even paid to show up. The StJacques Law of Actual Political Enthusiasm is: You can make 'em show up, but you can't make 'em smile. I'm not kidding here, this is important.

And my personal estimate of the crowd size based upon what I have seen in the pics is between 150,000 to 175,000 people in attendance. That's awesome!
