Using his position as a Congressman to refuse to cooperate with a Federal investigation into his wrong doing is not a threat?

Had I been caught taking bribes and refused to assist the FBI in their investigation I fully expect them to raid my offices too.

3. Be aggressive about how Dems will -- and are -- protecting children.

There is so much here. but for starters how does one justify questioning small children about things like "do you touch yourself and how does it feel?" How is it protective of children to insist that homosexuals be allowed to be scout leaders.

I took a helluva lot of heat from people about my opinion on Hastert in my post. I see the same vitriol here from the same crowd.

Stop whining.

Yep, cocktail party conservatives stood up unjustly against the Republican speaker of the House so they will appeal further more to their liberal coktail party friends. F*** them if they were that good, Bill Sammon their most famous reporter would not have left them.

I hate to take issue with someone from my home state, but I don't agree with a lot that you have had to say. If you were born and reared in Louisiana then you have to be aware that our State is not recognized as having honest government. You sound like a petulant child who when things don't go your way, you pick up your toys and go home. I don't mean this to be a condemnation of you, but what have you done to help the Republican Party "get things right"? I don't agree with everything that's being done, but I don't think "jumping ship" is going to help the nation. The Democrats and Libertarians don't have a thing to offer that will turn this nation around! With Democrats, you will get more corruption and control than you can imagine, and a vote for a Libertarian is just a vote for a Democrat.

We mock the blacks for staying on Democrat plantation. Are we really any different? Additionally, I am begining to change my views on gay marriage. I probably could support some type of civil compact between monogomous gays that allows them community property rights and inheritance rights, and entitles them to health benefits from their employers. I mean society as we know probably wouldn't collapse.

Have you read this statement thoroughly? I don't know who you're talking about when you say, "We mock blacks for staying on Democrat plantation." I don't mock them; I feel sorry for them for allowing themselves to be used by Democrats. Democrats have used them for their votes, but they have not helped them better themselves...the Republicans have though. I notice you are changing your views on other matters also. Could you be becoming another flip flop artist? Why don't you stay and help us make the Republican Party a better Party instead of trying to hurt the Party?

The "page" who was quoted says ABC misunderstood. He was not "warned" about Foley, he was told that Foley was a "bit odd", which I assume means someone was warning them that Foley was gay.

Girls naturally know not to get too friendly with older men. But Boys don't know that unless you warn them.

The meaning of the emails, sent a year ago, is only really apparant, and actionable, once you know about the Instant Messages, sent three years ago.

Then the pedophile grooming process becomes apparant.

So, for anybody to think the emails were exceptionally "creepy" they'd already had to have knowledge of the Instant Messages.

I'm just guessing you knew about them a long time ago but simply failed to report them to appropriate law enforcement.

Save the conspiracy theories for the DNC. If Hastert did wrong, let him swing. Why should the fact that it's a month away from election alter our party's willingness to adhere to certain ethical principles.

Hastert said clearly he never saw or knew of these e-mails. He has not lied before and is assumed truthful until proven otherwise

No .. he said he never knew of the IM's

The libs are trying to blur and confuse people into thinking the emails and the IM's are the same thing

Give Hastert the benefit of the doubt? Come on! This is feeding frenzy time. Go ahead and take a chunk out of Hastert . . . or Rumsfeld . . . or Bush. It's what all the trendy conservatives are doing tonight. YEE HAW!!!

I'm with you, brother. Let's get out the knives. Let's carve each other up, and anyone else we can find in the Republican party. That'll show them RATs!!

I don't think this is going to help the RAT party at all, if anything it will hurt them in some way.
