Clinton hit in TV ad for not fighting terror

If Bill Clinton was really offended by Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace about his efforts to get Osama bin Laden and fight terror, he's really going to be incensed about a new series of TV commercials set to air on national news programs this week.

The first 30-second spot, "Defending Freedom,"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzTQMjkVtcI

commends President Bush's actions in Iraq and Afghanistan and blasts Clinton for not making the fight against terror a priority. It is produced by Move America Forward, the largest grass-roots pro-troop organization in the country.

Funding for the ad campaign comes, the group says, from thousands of individual members.

Serving as chief spokeswoman for all television, radio and print appearances promoting the new ad campaign will be Move America Forward’s director of military outreach, Debra Argel Bastian, a Gold Star mother who lost her son in the fight against terrorism.

Bastian is mother of Captain Derek Argel, who was killed in a plane crash Memorial Day 2005 during a training mission inside Iraq. Bastian noted she believes "all Americans of all political parties should stand united behind the mission our troops are serving in Iraq and the war against terrorism."

The campaign by Move America Forward was initiated in response to Clinton's angry words last week. In the interview with Wallace, Clinton adamantly defended himself against charges he didn't seize opportunities to take out bin Laden.

Earlier today on CBS's "Early Show," the head of the CIA's bin Laden unit during the Clinton administration, Michael Scheuer, said the al-Qaida leader "is alive today" because Clinton and his top lieutenants refused to kill him.

"It's just an incredible kind of situation," said Scheuer, "for the American people over the weekend to hear their former president mislead them."

The CBS News terrorism analyst was asked to comment on Clinton's interview with Wallace.

"He defames the CIA ... and the men and women who risked their lives to give their administration repeated chances to kill bin Laden," said Scheuer.

Asked whether Bush was no less responsible for letting bin Laden escape from Tora Bora in Afghanistan, Scheuer replied: "The fact of the matter is that the Bush administration had one chance that they botched and the Clinton administration had eight to 10 chances that they refused to try. At least at Tora Bora, our forces were on the ground."

Move America Forward notes that Clinton initially was supportive of the war in Iraq. Earlier television ads produced by the group actually praised him for joining the war on terror.

"Mr. Clinton, we will praise you when you do good, but we will similarly rise up against you when you act in such a shameless fashion," said Bastian. "Bill Clinton seems to have changed his tune now, and he's more interested in his own personal glorification than the good of this nation, or showing honor and respect to the young men and women serving in the military to keep our nation safe."

Last year, Move America Forward spearheaded a TV ad campaign targeting the United Nations.

And while we focus on CLintoon's obvious failings on terrorism, NO ONE is going back to focus on how this scumbag put us even more in harms way by allowing Loral and others to arm China against us so he could benefit from Chinese campaign cash.

That will leave a mark. The good thing is Slick Willy will be coming to a TV near you after this ad comes out. This is good for the Republicans when he spews his lies.

This is necessary and crucial. It will be criticized ferociously.
There isn't a doubt in my mind about what the Dems would do if they gained ascendancy in the legislature. They would begin to bring down the Bush presidency with impeachment hearings. The next two years would be nothing but impeachment hearings---for both the President and the Vice-President.
If Election 2006 gives the Dems the power, they will give this country a living nightmare, and possibly a catastrophe beyond bin Laden's fondest dreams.

Frankly, it looked like absolutely NOTHING was going to come out on the Teflon Con.

I am delighted that even this much truth has emerged from Clinton's cess pool administration. I hope it will embolden others that he has shat upon. Yessir!

Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify -

Most number of witnesses to die suddenly -

First president sued for sexual harassment. -

First president accused of rape. -

* According to our best information, 40 government officials were indicted or convicted in the wake of Watergate.

A reader computes that there was a total of 31 Reagan era convictions, including 14 because of Iran-Contra and 16 in the Department of Housing & Urban Development scandal.

47 individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes with 33 of these occurring during the Clinton administration itself.

There were in addition 61 indictments or misdemeanor charges.

14 persons were imprisoned. A key difference between the Clinton story and earlier ones was the number of criminals with whom he was associated before entering the White House.

How about having some TV ads made of all of these??? All factural, and all took place as we all watched.

Is all of this being taught in our Schools to our children??

Probably not, but it should be...its History...

Lady, you should write TV ads! Thanks for passing the ammunition! Your list should be on billboards all across America. (So many, we would have to give them a name. Let's see. How does "billyboards" sound? "Willieboards?") Or put the list in a series of signs like the old Burma Shave signs, posted every 500 feet or so.
It would also get a lot of moonbats rounded up for vandalism and they might miss the election. ;)

"Wow. That really ought to help whoever is currently running against him. "

Psssttt... non-profit groups (like the pro-troop organization that made this ad) can't run ads for or against current candidates.

I work with the people over at MAF who made this ad and I think it's one of their best to date. Clinton sold out his country for his own personal ambition. He's such a shameless jerk.

I think you are missing the point.

It is important to call out our leaders, whether they are in office or not, when they do or say things that undermine the war on terror.

American security is at stake. It is far more important that we get Republicans AND Democrats to support this war than just look at it as an election.

At the beginning of World War II, the Republicans debated what to do and ultimately decided to back the war and criticize Roosevelt for not being aggressive enough! Republicans won 40 or 50 seats in 1942 with that strategy.

The Democrat strategy of underming the war effort needs to be a disaster so they will get back to supporting the war like they did at the beginning.

But, we cannot remain silent while the Bil Clinton's rewrite history or the Jimmy Carer's try to convince people that he was a better President than Ronald Reagan. They just make our foreign policy goals more difficult to realize.

And in the case of Islamic fundamentalism, this is a battle to the death -- either the death of their radical ideology or the death of the west. So we all need to get on board with this -- Republicans and Democats alike, even though the Democrats need to be kicked and dragged part of the way.

Clinton isn't running. I would rather see money used to make ads showing Reid saying with pride that they had killed the Patriot Act, Durbin comparing our troops to Nazis, etc. Lets fight today's battle not yesterdays or 2008's.
