Before we hang the guy, however, maybe you should enlighten us Re: exactly what was Hastert to do, given just those innocuous E-mails as evidence. Shoot Foley on the front steps of the Capitol?

Whomever held those IM's for months or years awaiting the most politically advantageous juncture (i.e. an October surprise) is as guilty as Foley vis a vis endangerment of a minor. Hastert, on the other hand, is guilty of nothing except failure to punish someone for what he might do at some point in the future.
