If the assertion is "Well, the Democrats have more of a history for sexual misconduct!", I don't believe that's going to play well to the voters. What Foley did was disgusting. I don't think we should dumb down our standards to the Dem's standards.
And let's consider that Hastert has NOT handled this well. Some of his statements leave a lot to be desired in regards to the Foley matter.

But I find it a bit strange that Chappaquiddick wasn't on the list. Maybe some might argue that it didn't involve sex, but perhaps the autopsy report on the victim's body (if an autopsy was ever done) would prove otherwise.
