The chief of staff for Republican Congressman Tom Reynolds, Kirk Fordham, resigned after questions were raised about his role in the handling of the congressional page scandal, according to Republican sources on Capitol Hill.

Those sources said Fordham, a former chief of staff for Congressman Mark Foley, had urged Republican leaders last spring not to raise questionable Foley e-mails with the full Congressional Page Board, made up of two Republicans and a Democrat.

Good. Fordham was behind much of this. He is the link between Foley and CREW.

You're not 'forced out' if you're complicit.

Someone got the E-Mails and IMs to ABC instead of the proper authority and it wasn't to just expose the truth.

Link says that Kirk is openly gay. It is now reported that Fordham tried to protect Foley from the Republican leadership and tried to get ABC to not report specifics from IM. This sounds an awful lot to me like one homosexual trying to protect another.

The question must be asked: Did Fordham have a relationship with Foley?

This story suggests that the guy was covering for Foley, not that he was complicit in bringing him down.

I believe your view.

Cold got to be.

(1) ABC had access to Foley's private IMs. They must have a contact who is close to Foley's office.

(2) Fordham used to be Foley's chief of staff, worked with him for several years.

(3) The Advocate magazine gave Fordham as their source in an article outing closeted members of Congress, icluding Foley, more than a year ago.

(4) Fordham left Foley's employ rather abruptly.

Gay? What an amazing coincidence, I wonder how he got hired by Foley?

With few exceptions all these guys have a relation with all the guys (eventually).

Must be rather like having a hundred wives, and every single one of them involved in intrigue of various sorts in Topkapi Palac.

FORDHAM STATEMENT:

"I want to clarify a few things: When I sought to help Congressman Foley and his family when his shocking secrets were being revealed, I did so as a friend of my former boss, not as Congressman Reynolds' Chief of Staff. I reached out to the Foley family, as any good friend would, because I was worried about their emotional well-being."

"At the same time, I want it to be perfectly clear that I never attempted to prevent any inquiries or investigation of Foley's conduct by House officials or any other authority. Like so many, I feel betrayed by Mark Foley's indefensible behavior."

It is now reported that Fordham tried to protect Foley from the Republican leadership and tried to get ABC to not report specifics from IM.

That's the only way that Fordham can be portrayed in a positive light by both the MSM and gay media outlets.

He was the one who had the means and opportunity to provide IMs to ABC, and ABC has an interest in helping out Foley by pretending he was not the source and claiming that Fordham asked them not to publish.

How did Fordham "discover" ABC had this material in the first place?
