I don't think we realize just how serious this is.....it appears to me the contradiction may not be a direct contradiction but be dealing with the different things...the emails that came out now and those that were known about.

His accusation today is big, and it is hitting the news like a firestorm (***AND THE FACT THAT OTHER REPUBLICAN SOURCES SAY HE ACTUALLY WAS TRYING TO STOP THIS FROM COMING OUT IS BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED***)

This could cost us the election. We have got to fight back.

If we don't, say hello to Pelosi.

Hastert must resign now.

If we don't, say hello to Pelosi. Hastert must resign now.

Hastert resigning is exactly what will lead to Speaker Pelosi.

You don't put blood in the water to drive sharks away. Given how this worked with Newt and Speaker-designate Livingston, the pattern is very clear.

The base needs to stop believing that every little liberal hit-piece is reason for the GOP leaders to fall on their swords for the party.

Not only should Hastert and GOP leadership stay in office and expose the media frauds and the Pink conspiracy behind the Foleygate scandal, they shouldn't have asked Foley for his resignation either. He should have been censured and sent home to face his voters. However, his seat has been in GOP hands for 25 years and Negron (replacement candidate) is a good candidate and might still manage to save the seat for the GOP.

BTW, you are aware that the 'page' (Jordan) was out of the page program and over the age of eighteen when the naughty IMing occured? It was all legal. So far, it seems Foley was pretty careful to make sure he didn't do anything illegal. And this Jordan has hired a high-powered defense attorney, apparently anticipating grand jury appearances and possible prosecution for his role in all this (possible blackmail).
