California Homosexual Organization Admits HIV/AIDS is “Gay Disease

LOS ANGELES, California, October 4, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center has abandoned a long-held homosexual activist contention by declaring on billboards posted throughout Southern California that HIV/AIDS is a “gay disease.”

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the Center is trying to address rapidly increasing HIV infection rates among the homosexual population by rallying the gay community to increasing vigilance against exposure to the disease. Activists for the homosexual lifestyle have, until this current development, strongly, and sometimes vehemently refused to admit that the disease is predominantly generated among homosexual men.

The ad campaign, which is also running in magazines, is in part a response to the findings of public health officials, who have noted that three out of four cases of HIV infections are found in men who engage in homosexual activity, the United Press International reported.

In 2005 US health officials reported an alarming eight percent increase in HIV infection rates in one year alone among homosexual and bisexual men. The Center for Disease Control also warned that a survey of 15-29 year old men who engaged in homosexual activity “reported that the proportion of unrecognized HIV infection was as high as 77 %.”

A report by the Public Health Agency of Canada, released in August 2006, revealed a sharp increase in HIV/AIDS infections, with 51 percent of infections found in men engaging in homosexual activity.

The root cause of HIV/AIDS is gay sex. Congress is spending billions of our tax dollars on HIV/AIDS. (I think it's more than $200 billion already.) Instead of thinking about gay sodomites engaging in a "lifestyle", we should think of them as a threat to public health worldwide. "Gay pride" defies logic.

You hit the nail right on the head. Are we to believe that the nations of sub-Saharan Africa, most of which can't afford even enough aspirin to treat the common cold and headaches, can afford the sort of testing kits and equipment requisite to a diagnosis of AIDS? The disease has become so highly politicized that the UN, WHO, and even the CDC have virtually dictated that ANY fever of unknown etiology, and ANY condition the nature of which is not immediately apparent, be labeled AIDS. And this in a part of the world in which tropical fevers of countless varieties carry off the residents with the speed and regularity of taxis at a city airport. The numbers for so-called AIDS cases in Africa are cooked and fraudulent.

I'm not really prepared to argue with you or Oklahoma that AIDS in Africa is not primarily a heterosexual pandemic (or that there is actually a pandemic of HIV/AIDS in that continent); I lack detailed knowledge of this complex scientific issue. But persons arguing this position should be aware that they are arguing against the mainstream scientific consensus. And I would be very cautious before making personal decisions based on the belief that the risks to heterosexuals from HIV is minimal. It is clear that heterosexual transmission does occur; if a woman has a sexual relationship with an HIV-positive man (such as a man who hides his bisexuality or a man who uses needle drugs), she has a high risk of becoming infected. Promiscuous heterosexuals are at more risk if other untreated STDs are present (these can make it much easier for HIV to be transmitted).

While it is just plain common sense that homosexual behavior is the biggest risk factor in getting AIDS, we have to remember that there are some innocent victims.

As a pediatric nurse, I recently took care of a very sick 7 month old. Her test results kept pointing towards HIV, and the dad admitted that he was HIV positive, had known for years and had never told his new wife. Baby was HIV positive, as was wife.

Earlier this year I took care of a ten year old boy who had been diagnosed as an infant. Turns out dad had an affair, mom was infected and didn't know. The little guy died a very slow, horrible death. Most of us have no idea how awful it is in the end.
