If you want a vehicle with American made parts in it, go for a Japanese name. :p

It makes me want to buy Japanese

Perhaps Chevrolet wants the same thing also.

It would be a mistake to assume that anything John Cougar Mellencamp does is patriotic.

I haven't seen it yet... its depressing that he's a Hoosier.. :(

I think our Canadian friends can correct us, but your spelling has an extra `o' and an unnecessary `i'.

Mellencamp is a lib from way back. He seems to be saying that our country is full of nothing but failed military adventures, crooked Presidents, and indifference to Katrina victims.

Would not surprise me to see this as a video (with or without the Chevy logos) at the next Democratic convention.

If Chevrolet wants to get all patriotic, they should look at the Chrysler "The Pride is Back: Born in America" commercials again some time.

OMG I hate that one too! They portray the father as a eunuch while the "tough" mom drives away.

That Ford commercial is just weird, and doesn't give me a good feeling at all.

Cougar is a Conservative-bashing lib. I would expect nothing less from him or his type. Too bad Chevy had to fall for it.

To top it off, they should show the truck tanking up at CITGO.

Chevy's commercial makes it all the more reason to buy Japanese.

Yes, believe it or not, it's supposed to create a patriotic pride in potential buyers...

But... but...

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism! * gag, koff *

I wish I was. It makes me want to buy Japanese.

Go ahead. Buy a Toyota Tundra, made in Indiana by Hoosiers.

Some twenty something cappuccino communist advertising "genius" with black spectacles and messy hair. You know the type.

My only thought is that John Cougar Mellancamp sucks -- always has -- always will.

Yep, is it any wonder that the big auto is racing big MSM into the the graveyard? These are afterall the same idiots who signed union contracts that anyone should have known would bankrupt them in the future.

That commercial makes me want to puke! The Chevy commercial also sucks. Dodge does ok but their trucks suck imo. I own a GMC but Toyota's are made all over the U.S. might be time to try one on my next new truck and just go pick up and old Chevy to do the rough stuff.
