I HATE that commercial too! I'm glad I'm not the only person who has noticed how revolting it is. Who the heck are they trying to reach with that ad, beaten down divorced dads? B*tchy ex-wives? (Not that the woman in the ad is so bad, but you know what I mean). I think it is the worst ad ever, I don't even know what car it is for.
I don't know why GM would turn to some no-talent moron like this to do an ad when their "Like A Rock" (Bob Seger) ads are often recognized as the most successful advertising campaign in history.
Yep, my thought is that I will not buy a Chevy. I'll stick with Dodge Rams.
Most people won't notice the symbolism . They will think it is a patriotic move by the Chevy people . I didn't even notice till saw the ad the second time and I am well aware he is a left wing wingnut.

Did you see those (i think they are toyota commericals) in one, it gets hammered by a meteor and keeps going! LOL WOW! pretty neat... and in the other one it gets picked up by the lock ness monster and slammed on the shore! LOL!!! pretty cool. :)

Thank you! I thought I was nuts because no one else around me saw the sadness and reinforcement of what "second class citizens" Dads are these days in that commercial. Bet that commercial "Dad" also has the luxury of paying for that Ford and for the nice two-car attached garage it gets parked in each night while he has a fried egg on his hotplate for dinner. *Rolleyes*
WHO is in charge of Mass Marketing these days? Oh, that's right...all of those 22 year old "Mellonheads" coming out of Liberal colleges.
