Forty-five states have barred same-sex marriage through statutes or constitutional amendments. Here are some key recent rulings on same-sex marriage in several states:

_MASSACHUSSETS: On Nov. 18, 2003, Massachusetts' Supreme Judicial Court rules that its state constitution guarantees gays and lesbians the right to marry, making it the only state that allows same-sex couples to wed.

_NEW YORK: On July 7, 2006, the Court of Appeals, the state's highest court, rules 4-2 that New York's law limiting marriage to between a man and a woman is constitutional.

_GEORGIA: On July 7, 2006, the Georgia Supreme Court reinstates a voter-approved ban on gay marriage, ruling unanimously that it doesn't violate the state's single-subject rule for ballot measures.

_WASHINGTON: On July 26, 2006, the Washington Supreme Court rules 5-4 to uphold the state's ban on gay marriage, saying that lawmakers have the power to restrict marriage to a man and a woman.

For reasons that would take a while to explain (powerful state legislators favoring it),homosexual "marriage" is here to stay in the Gay State...in spite of the fact that the majority of voters oppose it (according to several statewide polls).

And be aware of the very real possibility that it will become nationwide thanks to the Constitution's "full faith and credit" clause.

I lived in the gay state for many years - and I know how the Globe the legislature, the "supreme" court actively conspired to deny the right of the people to vote on this issue. I like Romney, but he was totally ineffective in stopping this conspiracy, which goes on to this day.

Today, the CA Supreme Court upheld the gay marriage ban. Notice, nary a peep about it from Pelosi. I guess she'll wait until after the elections.

I am going to make a prediction. I will predict that the only states in the country that end up allowing and encouraging homosexual marriage, will be Massachusetts, Maine, and Vermont.

She'll wait until someone polls it - she doesn't have any opinions of her own; she just follows the looney dem crowd.
