First. There isn't a fairness doctrine anymore. If there was, then Rush and Hannity and all of Talk Radio would be gone. The Dems if they get control of Congress again will first and foremost pass a new "Fairness Doctrine" to get back to the way TV and Radio were in the "good old days"

Second. Every Talk Radio station has an FCC license. So when Rush is talking .. the FCC can't see any difference between his show and a Newscast.

Third. RICO deals with ceasing the assets of specific criminal conspiracies. It would take a very specific set of circumstances for RICO to apply. This is unlikely even if their was overt coordination with the Democrat Party. There was in the CBS Rathergate episode.

Forth. Obstructing Justice is not a RICO crime. It is serious, but its unlikely that ABC was a party to what ever CREW was up to. Its unlikely that this would ever stick unless money changed hands in the form of some sort of pay-off.

Rush Limbaugh and Talk Radio were impossible in the old days.. this how we had the Big Three Networks and if you didn't own one or a Newspaper.. and you wanted to get your message out.. you were out of luck.

Things are better now. The Alphabet Networks are paying in real revenues. This is the way. Stockholders will one day say.. We need to grab some of that Talk Radio market, or one day one of these outfits will do another Network to compete.
