We just lost "Doc" Baldwin on Wednesday and now this happening to my fellow Kamp Ke Mo Camper, Sen. James Inhofe.
Methinks it's time for Jim to hang up the keys to his many planes. He has had too much bad luck in aviation and we need him now more than ever.

My brother-in-law was flying into SC yesterday and when they flew through Tennessee, one of the engine caught fire. They had to land in a field and get out of the plane on those shutes; no one was injured.

Let's settle this on the playing field tomorrow, Tex.

He has had too much bad luck in aviation and we need him now more than ever. He had a prop fall of when he was surveying the damage of the big tornado near Oklahoma City a few years back.
My brother in-law sold him an old rebuilt Aronica Chief about 25 years ago.

....an Aeronca chief.......
that word was an acronym for Aeronautical
Corporation of America, I believe.....
I flew with a fellow many years ago who had
restored an Aeronca Chief....it was a two-place,
side-by-side aircraft, unlike the Aeronca Champ
series, which were tandem seating aircraft....
damn; that Chief was noisy....!!! my ears were
ringing for a day after that flight....interesting
piece of American aviation history, though....

I cant get the story to come up but thank God he is all right. Not only do we need him in the Senate but if we lost him a Demo would no doubt be appointed to his seat and the GOP majority would be in even greater danger.

I learned to fly in a 1946 BC-12D Taylorcraft, and it was a side by side as well. Smooth to fly and hard to get it down in hot weather, dang thing floated forever.
