As much as I loved the Jack Ryan series, I too also think Red Storm Rising was his best work to date. What a read!! I've always been facsinated in the "what if the Cold War went Hot" types of scenarios. Anyone know when Clancy's next novel is coming out?? And I don't mean one of those mini-series ghost written novels crap.

I agree, it was his best. I reread (for the 3rd or 4th time) the book a couple of years ago started to think the premise of the book was getting "dated", I guess I might have been wrong.

I agree. I read it cover to cover in just a few days, loved it. Debt of Honor was also very good and somewhat similar to RSR with the Japanese as the aggressor. Well worth reading. I hated his ghost written series.
