Issues: Is anything on the website false regarding Edmunds. 2. If there is a falsehood, is it material. 3. Is Edmunds a public figure? 4. If Edmunds is a public figure, then any falsehood has to have been printed with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard for the truth.
What did the lawyer say? Did he specify items he found to be false? Did he allege the falsehoods, if any, were damaging?
Provide the answers to the above and you'll have a better understanding of your position. The constitution provides for freedom of the press, but not to publish or fail to retract damaging falsehoods.
