Bottom line: homo's exploit other homo's to hurt Republicans?

I started to answer your question, and found things getting more and more complicated. The fact is, bottom line, the gay political position is unnatural and delusional. It requires you to draw all sorts of lines between what's politically correct and what isn't, and in a case like this they endanger themselves by revealing the contradictions inherent in their beliefs.

The same thing threatened to happen with the left wing media attack on pedophile priests. They tried to draw a sharp line between pedophile priests (horrible) and gays (wonderful), but the lines in fact blur. The great majority of the priests in question were not, in fact, pederasts but ephebophiles, or lovers of young men. They were, in fact, almost all homosexuals.

So, what started out as an anti-Catholic campaign turned into a campaign to weed homosexuals out of the priesthood. Naturally they didn't intend anything like that.

You sound rather knowledgable on this subject. What do you do for a living?

You raise an interesting point we have been discussing regarding the priest scandal. One day the headlines disappeared and the stories were relegated to the back pages. This happened when it became apparent that the victims were not in the 5-10 year old range but in the 16-17 year old range -- still digusting in my view but not pedophelia. The conversation started turning to the presence of homosexuals in the priesthood, and then the stories pretty much died. Same here with Foley -- at some point, Foley's homosexuality would become the issue and the story will die.
