WOW .. I'm in tears. That is SO moving .. just spectacular. God bless both George's. To think about an 18-yr old who didn't have to volunteer and then who exemplified such courage and fortitude in deadly battle is simply awesome.
If anyone knows where we can watch W give this speech, please PING me ... I want to SEE him give this speech. I just know he was touched and filled with pride, beyond words.

This reminds me that the ugly xlinton campaign called this brave man a 'wimp.'
The contrast between George H.W. Bush.......HERO, and billjefxlinton, scummy traitor, could not be more severe.

Of course C-Span does NOT plan to re-broadcast this event!
Fortunately, after a lot of research, I found a direct link to a video of the entire ceremony -- I haven't had the time to watch it yet, so I can't vouch for its quality.
I do know the weather was NASTY so all of the speakers were forced to cut short their remarks; additionally, the satellite feed kept dropping -- I'm hoping this video eliminates all the problems! THE CEREMONY WAS GREAT!
[Please post this link on the DOSE tonight -- I've got a function and won't be home until later in the evening!]

Gretchen, Thank you so much. What a wonderful speech. I have tears in my eyes. My FIL, a former POW in WWII, died a month ago (he was just a few months older than GHWB). I am so grateful to the brave men of that generation. I hope we can somehow see a replay of the speech--and also GHWB's remarks. Thank you so much.
