I always thought it was short and skinny. I never heard a woman described as "petitte" who was rotund.

Well, you're right...petite usually means small and dainty...

..I'm just saying it's also for a shorter stature and many petite women are slightly chunky but can still be called petite, FWIW.

Most people here (FR) simply refer to natalie as 'the hydrant'...:^
