Foley has so far not been accused of an actual crime. Ordinarily the Democrats would defend someone like Foley; because he is a Republican, they are instead attacking.

Clinton was known to have studied FBI files on a number of citizens, and one should assume that he appointed people to the FBI who would continue to provide the Democrats with damaging information. President Bush did not clean house in the FBI or the CIA, so there are likely some Clintonista moles and Clintonista "data collection" programs left. This is a simple explanation of why text messages (and information about a homosexual encounter) from years ago are being fed to the MSM. The idea that the messages are being volunteered by "concerned citizens" is similar to the wiretapping case during the Clinton regime (when the recording of congressional conversations was supposedly done by an ordinary couple and not by listening devices planted in the offices).
