Some of the other stories weren't clear on wether or not he was arrested. Hopefully this will trigger a full scale revolution against the mullahs.

Hopefully this will trigger a full scale revolution against the mullahs The story supports something I've been thinking all along ... the support for the Mullahcracy is very shallow, and shored up only by armed force and terror. At some point, it will collapse.
The end of the Iran Nuke crisis (and probably also of organized Islamofascism) will come when normal Iranians finally have enough. I suspect it's not long, now.

I think he was arrested, despite a handful of his supporters attempted to prevent it. So I read on other stories.
Isn't this guy from the tiny reformist/leftist movement?

A senior Shi'ite Muslim cleric who has challenged Iran's system of clerical rule was arrested on Sunday after his supporters clashed with police outside his house in the Iranian capital, Iranian news agencies reported.Oh no. He was Iran's biggest hope.
I hope the people rally to save him now. I was crossing my fingers they'd rise to the challenge yesterday.

This is bad. Hopefully this will be picked up. We need to start throwing this around the news.

I want to take this opportunity, on this thread, to remind everyone that the average Iranian is VERY pro-Western, is very young, and absolutely HATES the theorcracy.
Iranians are good people. They have lunatics for leaders and "enforcers"............and my heart goes out to them. They are not Arabs; they are Persians and wonderful people.
God willing, they will soon be free of the yoke of extreme, militant Islam and will be allowed to flourish.

The 'Judas Goat' will not be harmed.
Those who publicly defended him have now been exposed.
The Mullocracy will now see to it that they dissappear quietly.

Trussell: Prayer ping
.
caresistance: This relates to the Iranian situation how? They certainly do not share your vision of religion.
streetpreacher to caresistance:Wow, does seeing a post mentioning prayer offend your libertarian sensibilities that much?
Conservative til I die to caresistance: Well then you're a pretty bad Christian, if you are indeed one.
to caresistance: Etc.. Etc
et all.
Im going to step in and defend caresistance. This is about a senior Shi'ite Muslim cleric who has challenged Iran's "current" system of clerical rule. This guy is a Muslim OK?. Hes not a Christian and hes not about to lead his sheep into your Christian, Jesus Freak fold. You can pray for some mass conversion but this is not likely to happen.
Boroujerdi may however be more moderate socially and politically than those in power right now and therefore might be much more palatable to the US and worthy of our support, but lets be real; caresistance is right, he (Boroujerdi) doesnt share your Christian vision.
I dont thing caresistance is saying you cant or shouldnt pray on a personal level nor do, I but I think prayer threads dont add anything to the conversation, a social-political news story and calling caresistance a pretty bad Christian or chastising him as a libertarian makes you all sound as much of a zealot as the folks Boroujerdi is rebelling against.

Iran's regime isn't going anywhere for a long time - a few decades. Admenejhad has re-tooled levels of govt with young IRGC loyalists.

The clerics have to go. Not just one or two of them, but ALL of them!
