I'm sorry about what happened to your people. But you can't blame that on the bulk of the peaceful Union people of the South no more than I can blame most ordinary rebels for the extortion, murder and false imprionsionments dished out by local confederate thug government.

I'm saddened whenever when some unknowing kid says he/she is wearing the reb flag to honor the heritage of the South. If that's the case, then the heritage of the South is ignorance, thugs running heavy-handed government and abject defeat on the battlefield.

The reb flags belong in cemeteries and memorials to commemorate the honorable soldiers themselves, not as a general endorsement of the rotten cause and regime they so mistakenly served.

Had the CSA won, a true feudal Dark Age would have descended upon the land of freedom for both white and black Americans.
