"89 KANSAS SHERIFFS ENDORSE ATTORNEY GENERAL"

The Fraternal Order of Police also endorsed Bill Clinton/Al Gore in 1996.

Its hard to qualify these endorsements, they may be union based or based on a specific issue of interest to that political group.
Like I said before, he should run in the legislative branch. Oh, yea, he lost there....
Also since I don't know you I can't qualify your endorsement of Kline.

What I do know is that Kline was rejected by the Bush administration as a qualified US Attorney and that Kline is promoting a political agenda as AG.

I want our AG enforcing laws, not spending time in front of the supreme court defending questionable legal tactics on abortion clinics.

I don't want to get into the issue of abortion. My point is that the AG should not be a political activist for ANY issue. He should be convicting criminals, and enforcing the law.

As far as my conservative nature, I believe in our constitution and three branches of government. I believe in a free republic, not rogue AG's subpoenaing my personal records to advance a political agenda.

Walsh has done a lot of good, and I will give him much deserved credit for that. Borrowing a phrase from Peter Libra though, 'that being said' there are only three possible explanations I can come up with for his actions which obviously endanger his life and the lives of anybody close to him.

1. He is incredibly brave.

2. He is incredibly stupid.

3. He is an attention craving coward with security guards who has no concern for the safety of his family and friends.

I don't know which, if any, of these theories is true, but I have my own opinion. The opinions of others are welcomed, but please try to avoid name-calling.

I likewise do not believe you are a conservative. Phill Kline has run the AG's office with more professionalism than anyone in Kansas.

Pretty much every person in law enforcement, except of course John Walsh, has endorsed Phill Kline for re-election. However, as you say, it's really hard to qualify those endorsements. What do they know?

You're obviously a faker but for my own benefit I'll post this. If Phill Kline is "an incompentent boob," then can you explain this? Morrison has said that Kline is a "doofus," yet Morrison says the doofus managed to fool a judge. Maybe Kline fooled the U.S. Supreme Court too when the doofus successfully argued before them. Good thing Morrison is smarter than all of them. Or maybe Paul Morrison needs to watch his mouth.

Also, could you explain once and for all whether Morrison supports Kline's request for abortion clinic records? In September, Morrison said he'd end the investigation. Now, apparently Morrison has changed his mind. If he's changed his mind, then please tell me what exactly his (and your) gripe is?

Here is an analysis of Morrison's conflicting statements.

My point is that I don't know why the 80 some Sheriffs are supporting Kline. If you do know (not guess) why please let me know Reading the articles you linked actually reinforces my belief that Morrison is the right man for the job. One article states:

On Wednesday, Morrison said he wouldn't "use the power of the office to pursue a personal agenda."

As far as the 'rape investigation', the articles don't convince me of a flip-flop. The articles are overparsing ad-hoc statements by various people. Most quotes are claims from the kline team.

My take is that Morrission would not halt the investigation of a teenage rape victim. He would halt the use of subpoenas of mass medical records when a 'low standard of probable cause' exits.

The kansas supreme court in effect agrees with morrison. They only allowed the records to be release if all names were removed. Thats basically makes any information collected worthless as there is no way to link it to a person. The whole effort is a big waste of tax dollars. (Unless of course you believe in the political agenda)

I would hope that we would agree on the basic operation of our system of government. The legislative branch makes laws, the executive branch enforces laws, and the judicial branch checks the other two branches by using the constitution.

If you think the AG's job is to advance political agenda's then I don't think we will ever agree.

BTW, how can I fake my own opinions?

RINO freeper alert. In KS it seems to be the RINOs who sign ads claiming to be "Republicans for . . ." Many are really dimocRATS in RINO clothing, the only thing they have against we conservative Republicans is that we are "Pro Life."

Phill has had most money spent against him by the Late Term abortion King, Dr. Tiller, Wichita, KS. After being granted heavily redacted records from KS Abortion Mills, has found the rapist of a ten year old who was given an abortion without any medical personnel notifying authorities, as is rampant in the State of KS.

Phill Kline is supported by each and every Sheriff in the State of KS.

Were Kline such a "boob" how could he have argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, or received such approval by KS lawmen, huh JD86155?

One presumes that you are a member of the KS Bar Assn. who also support most liberal candidates, dimocRAT or RINO.

They pretend to be moderate and join such groups as "MainStream Coalition" begun w/$$$ from DNC and link arms with each and every liberal/socialist around. That group is most especially anti-Christian!

See: http://www.wibw.com/home/headlines/4274806.html concerning why kline got the police endorsements:

"The spokesman also noted that law enforcement groups typically support incumbents. Sebelius is a Democrat but the police and state trooper organizations have also endorsed Republican Attorney General Phill Kline."

Does this mean you are voting for Sebelius as well?

GarySpFc, you say "I likewise do not believe you are a conservative."

What are the exact qualifications I need to qualify?

I'm pro right to bear arms, pro military, catholic, anti-crime, believe the government should stay out of our lives as much as possible, and I am a big supporter of W and his cabinet.

I agree with President Bush's stance, abortion is bad, and over time we will reduce them to zero. But, we must do it within the framework of our constitution.

However I think more than anything I am pro-constitution and pro COMPETENCE which is normally the number one reason I vote republican. Kline will be the exception for me.

You believe the Constitution guarantees the woman's right to choice, whereas conservatives clearly do not believe the right to murder exists. BTW, Ronald Reagan did not believe the Constitution provided for the right of abortion.

"He's just another media whore...no different than Nasty Graceless."

Yep. Both are big fans of the "Guilty 'til Proven Innocent", "The Ends Justify the Means" law enforcement philosophy.

If a "crime crusader" is against guns, he's no crime crusader. Credit where credit is due, but that's all.

You are not a conservative, conservatives do not vote for Democrats for any reason.
A conservative will eat grass like the North Koreans before voting for low life Democrat.

Democrats, the party of peace, abortionist, pro homo, etc.

Oops, let me requalify my statement: I am a conservative american, not a conservative Freeper.

I know my limitations :).
