John Walsh (America's Most Wanted) supports liberal attorney general
10/10/2006 | self

I didn't realize John Walsh was such a liberal. He is supporting a candidate, in Kansas, that has switched parties from Republican to Democrat because a moderate cannot win a primary in a state wide election. He has solicited the support of Walsh in a state wide radio ad that purports to defeat a very conservative Phill Kline.

Paul Morrison, I might add, supported a Senate bill which turned many hundreds of prisoners loose early resulting in several murders. For the details follow the link I have provided. It just astounded me, as this will be a close race, and something like this will have an impact on the outcome. Phill worked very hard, as did the Kansas Legislature, to pass Jessica's law last session and to have John Walsh of all people support Paul Morrison is absolutely hypocritical. Phill Kline has appeared on Bill O'Reily several times on the passage of Jessica's law.

In 2000, in order to save the state $750,000, Paul Morrison supported reducing the sentences of thousands of convicted felons - including hundreds who were released directly from prison early.

More than 1500 of those convicted felons are back in prison for crimes such as murder, rape, child-rape, robbery stalking and battery against a law enforcement officer.

Paul Morrison helped write the bill that let the felons out just wanted to get the word out. Is this something that John Walsh should be supporting??? Please Comment.

This link will take you to the results of Paul Morrison's policy , its taken from Phill Kline's web site and as a side bar is touted as a new way of campaigning. I e-mailed this to Sean Hannity but as of now have not heard anything. John Walsh happened to be on his TV program on October 9th.

What a shame. The man should shut up and catch criminals.

A bit of a facer here.

I have earnestly watched John and feel he is a force for the good. That having been said (I love that cliche- kudos to whom coined it), some sterling advice has been rendered elsewhere.

It was to the effect that Rush Limbaugh should stay right where he is. Rush being the best he knows how to be. It is tempting to urge Rush to get into the hurly burly of campaigning.

John, says I, for goodness sake, you are one great American. John, do what you do best. Stick to what you do. Yer vote counts and it is yer business.

They will use you.

Phil Kline is an incompetent boob. Before somehow getting elected to AG the US Attorney's office refused to take him as a political appointee because of gross incompetence.

I'm worried about the state of the republican party in Kansas. For some unknown reason they can't come up with reasonable candidates.

I consider my self to be conservative, but will be voting for a dem gov and ag because the alternatives are unworthy.

My wife and I were both broken hearted and pray that we will still get Kline re-elected. He lives on the liberal end of the state and I told him years ago, after he was narrowly defeated by Congressman Moore (D)Kansas City for US Congress, that he should move out west where we appreciate a good conservative.

I have known Phill and Deborah Kline for many years. I have gone door to door working on his campaign with Phill on one side of the street and I on the other. I have been in politics for many years, and you will not find a man with more integrity anywhere. He decides what is right, and then charts his course, and the consequences be damned.

A Kansan With Conviction - Attorney General Sees Abortion Records Fight as Matter of Principle

Phill Kline, Republican attorney general of Kansas, is determined not to be defensive. Making headlines with his subpoena of abortion records and his closed-door discussions of evolution with State Board of Education members, the former scholarship wrestler comes across as well satisfied with what he has wrought.

He has a job to do, Kline explained during a break at a meeting of attorneys general in Washington. Principles are at stake, he said, and liberals who dismiss the conservative values agenda as a political stratagem really do not know what they are talking about.

Paul Morrison supports abortion on demand, and will not enforce laws to catch rapists who take underage girls to abortionists.

I wouldn't be opposed to his election to the legislative branch, but he is a poor candidate for AG. I want a competent lawyer enforcing the current laws. I don't want an AG playing legislator with personal agendas.

Morrison is a good man who has dedicated is life to prosecuting criminals.

I've personally know Phill Kline for 10 years and in that time have seen no evidence of him being an incompetent boob or his gross incompetence. He has brought dignity and honor to his post as attorney general something Carla Stovall lacked and something Paul Morrison lacks as well as your liberal candidate for Govornor, former trail lawer lobbist and by the way, shell bill you later, after re-election. I can't believe you can call yourself anything close to a conservative.

89 KANSAS SHERIFFS ENDORSE ATTORNEY GENERAL

The Sheriffs who have already offered their support for his candidacy are located across our great state and includes eight Sheriffs who are members of the Democratic Party, a majority of all Democrat Sheriffs in the state.

"Phill Kline has served the people of Kansas with distinction and is an excellent attorney general. Phill knows where he's leading and he leads with integrity," said Senator Brownback. “I encourage all Kansans to look at what Attorney General Kline has accomplished in the last three and a half years and you will find a long list of reasons to vote for Phill in November.”
