Do you know anything about supporting the "Ronald Mcdonald" style houses they have at Walter Reed and other bases for military families to stay in? If there is anyway Freepers can join together and support these houses with a grocery run or a donation drive or something? I seem to recall that these houses have full kitchens. A good run to CostCo or Sam's would be helpful - load up on some large items that several families could enjoy. And, they are always looking for donations for gamebox or playstation games, books, or donating our old DVD's to their house libraries. There are probably some new moms new to DC who could use diapers or some gently used baby cothes. I think it would be a great cause to get behind.
