I trust Ginny Brown-Waite that this dormitory story is true.

Does she claim first-hand knowledge?

He headed up the administration of the page program, until his resignation in 2005. The timing of his resignation is potentially of interest, according to the other threads.

Thanks! I missed that and was bewildered. Appreciate the information!

She overheard a conversation, did some preliminary poking around, and then called for an investigation, from what I've read. She doesn't appear to have firsthand knowledge.

The whole thing is bewildering. But, from what I've gathered, the thing we're missing, imho, is that most of these gay "Republicans" weren't strangers to the militant, radical gays, or the Democrats for that matter, as far as working in opposition to the Marriage Amendment. They were fifth columnists of a sort; self-appointed change agents, who were quite happy to throw a "heretic" under the bus (Foley, who was in favor of the amendment, despite the pressure and threats).

The point is that this story wasn't just "made up" by ABC. Foley was a pervert preying on young boys.<<

But they aren't young boys. Young men maybe. Older boys sure. Sounds like he was using his position to groom older boys for sex. Wrong, sure. But the cries of pedophilia were not warranted by the evidence so far. And the media is definitely trying to imply it.

Good Lord..Mike Rogers has to be the most despicable gay man that the 'lifestyle' has ever produced!

I read an article during my research, that he 'outed' a dying married man on his deathbed while the family was there to say their goodbyes!!

This man needs to be reviled by every person in this country! He was behind the despicable press about Mary Cheney during the 2004 campaign!!

Politicos love to take about 'wedge issues'..but man... you got to be pretty low to start a 'wedge issue' between a father and his daughter!!

"Who is Trandahl?"

"A South Dakotan could prove to be one of the star witness in Washington's latest sex scandal. Jeff Trandahl, who graduated from Spearfish High School in 1983, was the house clerk and oversaw the page program from 1999-2005.

Trandahl has become the focus of an intense investigation into former Representative Mark Foley and his reported sexually explicit emails and text messages to teenage pages.

Democrats have accused Republicans of covering up for Foley. And one of those who might have said something long before the sex scandal was exposed, is Republican Jeff Trandahl. Now the FBI wants to know what Trandahl knew and when.

Jeff Trandahl, who was overseeing the page program at the time, closely monitored Foley's interaction with pages. He repeatedly raised concerns about Foley to GOP leaders before 2005. That's according to an un-named source for CNN.

That's when Republicans say they first learned of Foley's alleged sexual emails.

Also Tuesday, an Arizona congressman says a former page he sponsored contacted his office in 2000 or 2001 to complain of e-mails from

Foley that made him uncomfortable. That congressman says he had passed that information onto Trandahl.

We called Trandahl's office in Washington and was told he wasn't taking any calls from the media and that we should contact his attorney. We did that and left a message, but he hasn't returned our call.

Trandahl's attorney, Cono Namorato told CNN "Jeff Trandahl will cooperate fully with the FBI and the House ethics committee investigations." "At this time, Mr. Trandahl will not be airing his recollections with the media."

Trandahl resigned from his post in 2005. He's now the Executive Director at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in Washington, D.C. "

The thing that just amazes me about this sort of thing is that the intensity of the media is the same is if there were a boat full of nuclear weapons manned by terrorists parked off Long Island. When and where this old homosexual got drunk is treated as of the same level of importance as if North Korea is about to blow Seoul straight to Hell. There's no subtlety about this - there's just naked ambition, as each reporter tries to get the dirtiest and ultimately most meaningless dirt.

But that's the way sex scandals are, I suppose. Still, it amazes me that the media wallows in this trivial nonsense.

In my eyes he's a blackmailer, but since he's been doing this for the last few years and hasn't been arrested I must be missing something.

1999......remember that date!!

Does anybody have a good report on who has been questioned or sworn in under oath so far in the 'investigation'??
Not many 'media' reports coming out so far..unless of course they are republican......(go figure)

That about sums it up!

Anyone know if it's true that Foley was a Republican convert when he realized that if he didn't change parties, he was toast?

I wish we would have an old fashion DC sex scandal that involved a man, a woman...

That's too common to make the news these days.

Mark Foley has been a Republican since the 1980s. Like many, he saw President Ronald Reagan and changed parties. Can't blame him for that.

Any claim that Mark Foley was a Republican of convenience is false.

"In my eyes he's a blackmailer, but since he's been doing this for the last few years and hasn't been arrested I must be missing something"

It has not been: 'for the last few years'...this was a well orchestrated 'gay/leftist/dem play' for political purposes going back to the 1999/2000 campaign. Mark Foley is a patsy in this scheme. Many others are 'patsys' in this scheme.......they just have not come forward becuase the whole thing will likely ruin their life(for a time)!!

What kind of person makes it their business to 'out' gay people that have an interest in staying in the closet?

A BLACKMAILER AND EXTORTIONIST!!

PLUS...there may be WIRETAPPING issues at hand here(from my research). If correct, you've got to ask yourselves...why it is ok for the DEMS to wiretap political opponents in order to determine if they are gay or not...but we can not wiretap Islamic terrorists and fascists that want to destroy our country?

It blows my mind!!
