Uh, okay, and he is out of office, and has been for nearly two weeks.
If you can convince me that this is so important (more so than the guy up the street who was trying to pick up kids on the Internet) that The Today Show should spend 30 seconds on a nuclear test by a rogue state, and the next 15 minutes on the Foley story, then I will consider that it is news worth paying attention to.
Why is it important or not important that it is or is not made up by ABC?
The charge has never been that ABC "made up" the story. It's the faux outrage by Dems that's been made up. They're howling about why Republican leadership "did nothing to protect children" all while sitting on this story and shopping it to multiple outlets for up to a year only to be conveniently released just prior to the election.
Prove it. All we have is some bad IM's to young men who were above the legal age of consent. Even the IM's are not the info in question but emails that while odd were not reason to force a man to resign. If odd behavior was grounds for dismissal from congress then a lot of people would be asked to leave. Also why was this story shopped around to the media in the spring? Why did these media outlets who saw emails decide not to run a story? Foley was scum but he is gone. If you want a witch hunt don't go after the speaker , go after the members on both sides of the isle who use their office to put themselves above the law.

But they aren't young boys. Young men maybe. Older boys sure. Sounds like he was using his position to groom older boys for sex. Wrong, sure. But the cries of pedophilia were not warranted by the evidence so far. And the media is definitely trying to imply it.
