GOP Leaders Seek Probe of Berger Papers
Breitbart/AP ^ | 10/11/2006 | ERICA WERNER/ AP

A group of House Republicans called Wednesday for a congressional investigation into the improper handling of classified documents by President Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy Berger. Berger admitted last year that he deliberately took classified documents out of the National Archives in 2003 and destroyed some of them at his office. He pleaded guilty in federal court to one charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material and was fined $50,000.

The truth about 9-11 died in Sandy Berger's pants.

He stole our history. Why isn't he in prison?

How many of us here on FR have had ourselves or family members go through an FBI or other guv security clearance?

What would have happened to any average Joe who did something a lot less serious than Berger did?

Of so many things the Bush admin has done to cross my eyes, not taking even a reasonably disciplinary stand against this thief--this spy has to really be up there...

Berger ought to be picking up trash along interstate 95 for years to come--and that's just getting started. He likes picking up paper? We should have shown him how. What fines? What jail time?

My question is why only until now?... or at least tried making some political points out of this?... Why is it, that you keep hearing of leaks here and there, but you see no action on them? Because no action is taking the message then is "It must not be important or truthful, since the Reps don't do anything about it."

Republicans should be more aggressive in giving it to the Rats the way they take it.

Saw Berger the other day; interviewed by John Gibson/FoxNews. . .thought I was watching 'Saturday Night Live' just by his being there. (And said as much in e-mail to Gibson. . .)

So it seems that 'check the pockets' Berger is OUT and about; and criticizing Bush's Korea policy while defending the indefenseable policies of Bill Clinton. . .

He has long deserved this investigation. . .too long, in fact. Guess our Repubs; when push comes to finding themselves at the bottom of the Capitol steps - just before Election - are now, ready to shove. . .
