The $40,000 typo; in the pubic interest (Yes, Pubic)

Ottawa County will shell out $40,000 to reprint ballots because it left the "l" out of the word "public" on a ballot proposal.

The typo was in the text of Michigan Prop 2, which would ban preferential treatment in certain state hiring.

It might have been more in the "public" interest to leave the typo and save taxpayers $40,000.

Geeze...with Frank,Studds,Kennedy,etc here *all* ballots in Massachusetts contain the word "pubic".
