- Amir Taheri, Gulf News reported that Rafsanjani revealed last week several secret letters of Ayatollah Khomeini's. The question is: why did Rafsanjani decide to publish the two top-secret letters?
- The New York Times reported that a forgotten letter in which the founder of the Iranian revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, cited a need for nuclear weapons has stoked a debate over whether to negotiate with the West and raised questions about Iran’s nuclear intentions today.
Poll: 2/3 of Iranians dissatisfied with Ahmadinejad.
- Michael Ledeen, The Corner discussed a Rooz Online report on a recent poll in Iran which indicated 65% of Iranian were not satisfied with the economic, political and social performance of the new Ahmadinejad government.
Russia accuses the US of acting unilaterally on Iran.
- Khaleej Times reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov slammed Washington for acting “unilaterally” in the crisis over Iran’s nuclear program.

- FamilySecurityMatters.org argued that despite claims to the contrary, the truth emanating from Afghanistan is that the Asian country is progressing in remarkable fashion and the tremendous majority of Afghanis are supportive of both the Karzai government and are grateful to The Bush Administration.

I would believe that, unlike N. Korea, there are some rational people in positions of authority in Iran. They clearly must realize that a nuclear armed Iran poses a considerable threat to the country's survival. If the Iranian radicals were foolish enough to use their nuke or even give it to terrorists, the retribution would be very harsh and could lead to Iran itself being nuked or at the very least bombed to oblivion with conventional weapons.
