I also seem to remember at that time that there was talk of a "boys club" of politicians' who used interns for their sexual playthings.
Now why would a lobbyist/Republican ex-congressman make a political donation to a man who the law and others were eyeballing as being somehow involved with a then missing (now known to be deceased) intern???

You raise an interesting connection with Condit (my former congresscritter btw).
If you recall, back at the time Condit was being investigated by the DC police, his apartment/townhouse was searched by the forensic guys.
Reports at that time (don't remember if it was MSM or Enquirer) stated that semen samples were recovered throughout the apt from multiple sources.
Raises a question in my mind, was ol' gary part of an inner circle of Congresscritters ala Foley and Sarpalius? Hmmmm?
Meanwhile, Chandra Levy is still very dead, Gary's selling ice cream in Arizona and we're stuck with Dennis Cardoza (D) as our rep.
