Given GM's sales, how exactly would a boycott by the left (or anyone) actually be noticed? Or have any effect whatsoever?
I'm no fan of Hannity, but what the heck? He has a huge listenership consisting of people with jobs and money, and who don't see cars as the vehicle of the devil. There's a reason why nobody wants to advertise on Air Amerika...
You have to wonder what the rank and file union workers at GM think about the company teaming up with Sean Hannity. I suspect that many of those union members are Reagan Democrats.
If they are Reagan Democrats, they sure don't show it, because they keep electing Carterites to run their union and spend their money.
Rush coins a phrase and within a month or three it is common usage. Sweet!
Yeah, stick to those unbiased news outlets like CBS, ABC, and the N.Y. Times. You know, the ones you have spent countless millions of advertising dollars on, who's main agenda is to see America become a moral, military, and cultural wasteland, ripe for our enemies to attack.
Didn't Oprah give away GM cars recently too?
Oprah gives away 276 new Pontiacs
Talk show host opens 19th season by giving all her audience members a brand-new Pontiac G-6.

GM advertising where the listeners are. What a novel concept. The writer is bound by his biased view. Pathetic, isn't it.
Mr. Smith isn't playing with a full deck.

BULLSH!T!!! Anti-American POS dims drive volvos and hybrids, pedal bicycles, walk, or ride in CORPORATE JETS THAT ARE "GOING THERE ANYWAY"!
GM knows more about where America's head is than all of the fake manufactured polls of today. This author even admits that the msm is biased and that he is a card carrying member of same. Open your eyes naysayers!

Oprah giving away cars - she's a goddess!! Hannity giving away cars - he's evil!!
Bingo! I posted the exact same thing!

"For General Motors to align itself with one host, one political party, one point of view, is a bad decision."
Not if it's the right host, the right political party and the right point of view. You Libs think that there are two versions of truth. Uh-uh. Only one will do. The truth isn't relative.
Here's to GM who has the guts to do what's right. All you Ford boycotters - buy a Corvette or Impala or Tahoe.
Well, OK. I mean why else would he think it's a bad idea to market to conservatives who I suspect make up well over half the buyers of domestic cars and trucks?
And because of this I intend to give GM a second look when it's time to buy a new truck. I was almost thinking of turning Japanese.
BTW, what did this guy think of Ford's campaign to go after the homosexual market?
For your information, Steve, Michael Savage is not a Republican - he's a registered Independent. He thinks for himself. Can a Liberal grasp that concept?
Granted that it is a wonder that conservatives have a voice - I so well remember when the "Fairness Doctrine" completely stifled conservative broadcasting - I have some problems with the term "Drive By Media":
- "Media" refers not to the genre of publication but to the means of publication. The term thus includes fictional books, movies, and TV dramas as well as so-called "objective" journalism which is Rush's actual, legitimate, target.
- As Rush has correctly noted, if you miss ABC catch NBC, if you miss NBC read The New York Times, if you miss The New York Times read The Washington Post . . . and so forth. Those are different organs of "The Drive By Media," and they are all the same. "Media" is a plural noun. But if "Words mean things," grammar means things too. "Objective" journalism is a single entity - and if a word is to be coined to to denote it, that word should be a singular noun.
